  • 1.  RV & Trailer Space Size and Mix

My wife and I have 4 acres that we wish to use for open-air RV & Trailer storage.  I'm designing the space layout and was wondering which sizes are more popular than others and what sort of ratio makes sense.  Right now, I'm thinking 25'/30' back-in and 40'50' pull through spots.  What sizes and mix are working for y'all?

35 ft. minimum.  Only thing that will fit in 25ft space are trailer and power boats.  Width should be 14ft.  40ft for pull through for smaller RV's. I would think 60ft for the Class A motor coaches

    Joy,

All of our spots are at a 45 degree angle. It makes them slightly longer than the advertised size. We have 30' back in spots and 45' back in and pull through spots all are 12' wide. We just recently finished construction on 5 covered back in spots. Those are 50' long 12 feet wide. We have yet to have any issues and have yet to have a motorhome or trailer that was too long. All of our 30' spots are occupied as there are plenty of 30' or less travel trailers out there.
