  • 1.  New Type of Break Ins

    Hello All!
    We've recently had a different type of break in and wanted to see if this has become a trend. The burglar will come onto the property in a moving truck, suv, or pick up and then use the vehicle to push in the roll up door on a unit. They will push it in far enough to pop the latch slide out of the rail and then either go through the side to peel the door back or attempt to shimy the door up. We've had this happen at least 3 times in the last couple of months in the Austin Area. Has anyone else experinced attempted break ins like this? Thank you for any input you may have.

    Haven't seen that yet, but there is another new trend.  Renting a unit on-line using real ACH (stolen check book probably from another facility).  By the time the ACH is denied 4 days later due to fraud it's already to late.  Primary targets are bumper pull campers & enclosed trailers.  THEN rent climate control unit and cut through the interior walls to surrounding units, load trailer and head south.
