  • 1.  Jet Ski owner identification

    Does anyone have any brilliant ideas on how I can look up the owner of jet skis. Two have shown up in my open lot and I have no idea who's they are. I have looked up the trailer info and the owner of that is not a customer or someone I know. I am hoping to look up the HIN number on the jet skis but that has proven difficult. I paid $59 for a report from Boat History Report, only to get lots of info in the jet skis that I don't need and nothing that identifies the owner. Frustrating!

    Do the jet skis have TX numbers, like a boat?

    If so, you can query ownership on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website at:

    https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/boat/owner/

    Call a local jet ski dealer and ask him where you would find the mfg. ID plate.  You might also put the make and model in Google and where the mfg plate is located.

    The HIN is on the stern below the gunnel. TPWD will allow you to look up vessels' ownership by HIN.

    I already had the HIN just didn't know how to look it up at a place that would give me owner info...turns out, just googling HIN lookup isn't good enough. Anyway, I went to the TPWD website and searched on there to find their Query page...I now have the info I needed!! Many thanks Paul!!
