I have a 5 acre Rv & Boat Storage facility. We opened a year ago and have had the whole yard sprayed by a “professional” company 3 times, twice for regular weeds and once for yucca and mesquite. We have gravel under the covered spaces and it isn't so bad there. I am still having weeds galore grow underneath the covered spaces but that seems to be the easy part.
We are losing the battle with the rest of the property.
Can someone give me suggestions about how to keep this under control without spending more than what the place cost to build. JK… This is our first storage facility and we are just a husband and wife running it.
Thank you in advance for all your ideas and suggestions.
I wanted to post a picture of what I'm dealing with but don't know if it is possible here.

Stop using a "professional" company and do it yourself.

buy Roundup concentrate granuals and mix according to instructions.

Have you staff or yourself do it.

Professionals do not always do a professional job.

Our staff also does their own pest control.  We found professionals would spray the perimeters. But what about if someone moves out at 9am and we re-rent the unit at noon?  We blow out the unit, add a bait pack and spray it.

We have NO pest or rodent issues!

I have always cared for the 2.3 acres myself.  If it is green I kill it.  Roundup, Remedy and special mix for the hard to kill.
Insects are reduced by nothing green.   Then spray industrial  / farm use insect kill.  Put out mouse block boxes and you should be covered.

We also have a 5-acre Mini Storage and Boat and RV facility. We do our own mowing, weed eating and weed spraying. We have professional pest control services but are considering doing that ourselves also. We spray weeds with a generic glyphosate product found at a local feed store.

David, what kind of bait packs do you use inside you vacant units?  We have bait blocks outside but are still having a rodent problem at times.

What product have you found affective to spray for insects?  We are considering doing our own pest control. Thanks

We use bait packs for rats/mice.  I do not recall the brand but they are in small packets.  WE throw one packet in the back of each unit.
WE have no issues with this method.
We also blow out each unit, wipe the walls down and spray with pest control.

Call me tomorrow, Im in the office and can get you the name of the products we use ...
    All are avail. via Amazon.
