    Hi All,

I would be interested in knowing your policy regarding temperature regulation of your climate control buildings. We have been keeping our heating set at 63F degrees in the winter and A/C set at 80F degrees in the summer.  Do you think this is ok? One operator told me he does not turn on the heat in his buildings unless it will freeze which would save a lot of money and he says he does not get complaints. That is sort of hard to believe. Thoughts? What winter and summer setting do you use?

    Thanks!

I have operated Climate Control for the last 8 years sitting 2o miles south of Oklahoma.  The first year I ran heat.  Then I got the bill on this electric heat.  Turned heat off and monitored the temp range during the next cold months.  At MY facility (everyone is different based on construction) my Climate controlled area NEVER got close to 32 degree.  The lowest ever was 40 degrees.  During the great "Blizzard" of Texas it did not freeze inside.  During the Spring and mild Summer time frame I run 74 - 78 to dehumidify the air.  During the hottest part of the summer I raise it to 80.

We use 50 degrees in winter, and 78 to 80 degrees in summer. This has worked well for many years across several cities with varying climates.
