Hi to all, I built an 8,100 sf climate controlled building (I purchased pre-engineered with seal from texas approved engineer), now as requesting certificate of occupancy the city (who uses aoka as 3rd party inspector) is declining to approve and has stated this:
As per heavy steel framing plans and details on Sheets 5, 5.1, 5.2, 6, 6.1, 7, 7.1, 7.2. The roof and wall panel attachment is not part of this inspection. Contractor has been reminded of the required special inspection report submittal by the design engineer prior to final inspection.
Anyone with experience / suggestions on mitigating this? I have mentioned to them several times that building does not include any "heavy" steel....
thanks in advance,
