    Good morning!

We recently purchased a storage facility. It has a boat / trailer rental available. We learned that we need to collect/pay a sales tax for such rental.  Who should we pay such tax to? Also is the tax payment due for every month?

Will appreciate if additional information / pointers you can provide.

    Best regards,

Boats on a trailer are non-taxable parking.

Yes, this is true. Sales tax is due for vehicle storage. I think it's anything with wheels but someone may correct me on that. Anyway, we pay the State Comptroller monthly...online. Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts  is the website we use. Hopefully, your software gives you the ability to charge the customer for it and then you just run a report of how much at the end of the month.
