Do you normally charge NSF fee for declined credit cards on auto pay?

    Thanks!

I have considered it, but have not yet to date. The reason is there are many false failures generated by the FORCED use of the software company mandate of using their processor.
I have seen cards declined for varies reasons and an hour later they will process through properly. I think this is being caused by the high traffic count of processing on the first of the month and not the customers fault.

I generally run it again on the 3rd and 5th if it is declined.  Yes, it does cost me every time I run the CC.  If those two attempts also fail, then I charge them the NSF fee of $25.00.  They also get a notice when the credit card fails.  If it is not paid on the 6th, then they get the standard $10.00 late fee.  I usually have 5-6 cards come back for one reason or another each month.  By the time the 6th rolls around, I'm usually down to 1 or 2.
