  • 1.  Newspaper Ad for Harris County

    Hi All,

I am in Harris County and planning to put a small unit up for auction, the unit does not have anything of much value in it and I am not sure if I even recoup the late payments through auction. However I have to pay close to $150 to publish the ad. I was wondering if there is any cheaper way of doing this in Harris County. I have tried to reach out to the renter with no success. This newspaper ad requirement is just ridiculous!

Is that quote from the Daily Court Review, the legal publication in Harris County? https://www.dailycourtreview.com/

The TSSA board and staff agree that the requirement for newspaper advertising is ridiculous in today's environment. That is why we will be advocating for the removal of this requirement in the next legislative session. Stayed tuned for more on that...

    Hello,

We are in Cypress, Harris County, and we use the Katy Times. The ad is a  3x2.5, and it's $91.88 per week. You can contact Debbie at debbie.prejean@katytimes.com. She is great. I hope this helps.

    Thank you,

I tnink the TSSA Lease says if the contents are of no value to the ordinary person it can be trashed.  SO the real question here is', "what and who is an ordianry person?"  I am not sure there are any left in the world.

Also if you look around you might be able to find a local area newspaper that publishes once a week that you can adverise in for less.
