Let's talk about self storage.

We only own an outdoor boat/RV storage facility, unmanned, it's all online.   We use storable, but they do not have an app and more importantly, they struggle to keep up with iphones and have advised me that they don't intend to.  So very often, clients cannot sign up via a cell phone.  Does anyone have alternate company/solution?  Again, we are not a massive organization, just 1 facility in Belton, TX and it's only outdoor, uncovered boat/RV, so its very simple.

We use Tenant. I really like Hummingbird (the back end management software), and it does work fine on phones from the customer side. Overall, I am happy and will stick with them for a while.

Pros: Customer support, good UX on the website, very intuitive back end. No complaints at all on the management software itself. 

Cons: The website is good, but if you're working to optimize the site for ranking there isn't much to do other than add more company pages. You can customize meta data a bit. You don't have access to fix some site issues yourself. There is a mobile manager app specifically for tasks, which I find useless, but that might be because we don't have a lot of tasks to complete. There is not mobile friendly access for managers to the software. You can't even access the desktop version of the software from your phone. Phone calls and texts are routed through Twilio, which means they are all tracked in the software, however there is no option outside of the software to get alerted when text messages come in.  I have to login from my computer to see if we received a text. We are online only, so I carry my laptop with me everywhere I go and login a few times a day to see if texts came in. I have inquired about a fix, and was told it's on the roadmap. 

We have 172 units and pay $318/month. Happy to give you more info if interested.
