I was doing a complete walk of our property and found a unit that had a customer lock on it.  I cut the lock today and it was full of someone's holiday stuff.
I guess I could just get rid of the stuff, have a manager's sale or ???????
    I redlocked the unit.
    What would you do?

So, from your description, the unit was supposed to be vacant but you found a lock on it - Correct?
Before you cut the lock, did you prove positive it wasn't a rented unit?
If not a properly legally rented unit then, ok, cut the lock.  You found stuff - but did you find anything identifying the owner of the stuff?
If no ID, and you have no idea whose lock or whose stuff is occupying your unit, I would overlock the unit for at least 15 days - maybe 30 days.
I might even send out a email to tenants around that unit to see if anyone just happened to occupy a vacant unit.

After these efforts, and no word from anyone, I'd vacate the unit - donate it or trash it.
