Subject: Researching the Challenges re: Energy / Cooling Costs
Hey folks, I'm researching the issues self-storage owners/operators have with cooling costs in Texas heat.
- Curious how AC usage impacts your electricity bills?
- What roofing materials/insulation you're using?
- Generally, how does the sun's heat impact your bottom line?
So, I'm eager to talk with members here about your experiences.
Why?
Background: I'm with a startup that makes a reflective coating that blocks 97% of the sun's heat.
So far, we've worked with refrigerated trucking companies to:
- Lower internal temps by over 10°F
- Cut AC cooling costs by 20%
- Deliver an ROI in under 18 months
**Not here to pitch-genuinely trying to learn from the membership and see how well we fit.**
