  • 1.  Proper steps

    For non paying customer, I have mailed a Notice of Claim and a Notice of Sale.  No response.  What are the next steps?

    Good morning Shelly,

    We try everything we can to get in touch with the tenants. Do they happen to have an alternate phone number or emergency contact that you can reach out to and ask them to call you? If you have an email on file, I would send the information to the email as well. If not, just follow the steps in the GoldBook to the letter. 15 days after the notice of claim was mailed you can publish the newspaper ad, which has to run twice, and 15 days after that you can conduct the sale. Just make sure that you have a copy of the signed lease and verification that you did try to give them the notice of claim.
