We are VERY new to the self-storage game.  We bought a 50 unit facility last year and have a number of people who have never paid, but there are locks on the units.  We are getting serious about this as a business so we are cleaning house and need to see what kind of mess was left behind in these "abandoned units".  We have 2 locks that we don't know how to cut.  I attached pictures to this post.  What kind of tool works?

You will need a grinder with a metal cutting wheel.

    Jennifer,
i purchased a battery powered DeWalt grinder.
hold the lock with a pair of channel locks and pull the lock away from the door so you do not scratch or cut your door.
using a metal a metal urging disc, cut away.
it only takes a few minutes with practice.
